The Wall Street Journal says Trump rejected Tehran's seven-day plan to stop the war
🔸 Iran's foreign minister says that according to the "seven-day proposal" of the Salami Republic, the United States must take the measures desired by Tehran within four to five days so that the Strait of Hormuz can be reopened on the sixth day and negotiations between the two sides will begin on the seventh day.
But hours after those statements, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing US officials, that Donald Trump rejected that offer.
On Friday, October 4, Iraqi Abbas told reporters at the United Nations headquarters in New York that Iran had presented a "specific seven-day plan" to the United States through Qatar, and if Tehran's desired conditions were met, the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened and normal maritime traffic resumed within seven days. The principle of the seven-day proposal was raised in the past and Iranian officials have said in recent days that Tehran is ready to reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for the cessation of hostilities, the end of the naval blockade, the release of blocked assets and the reduction of the pressure of oil sanctions.
