Putin says Russia is not preparing for "any kind of clash" with Europe

Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, said on Friday, October 3, that Moscow is not preparing for any kind of clash with Europe.

These statements were made after several European NATO members warned against the possibility of a Russian ground attack on the territory of member states of the alliance, and European intelligence officials also raised the possibility that Russia would take action to test NATO's strength and response in the near future.

Putin said in an interview with Russian media reporters in St. Petersburg: "Many in Europe are talking about the possibility of a Russian ground attack, and for this reason they believe that they themselves need to prepare for military clashes, for a war with Russia."

He added: "I want to emphasize once again: we are not preparing for any kind of military clash with Europe."

Several European countries supporting Ukraine have expressed concern over the possibility of covert Russian attacks on their soil. Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine has entered its fifth year.

Germany recently accused Russia of planning a drone ground attack at the Leipzig airport in September. Poland also warned that Russia may launch drones and missiles against countries supporting Ukraine.
