🔸 Emmanuel Macron announced in a television interview on Thursday, the second of Mahar, that France would send "equipment and military forces" to help protect the strategic port of "Yanba" in Saudi Arabia following attacks by the Houthi militias in Yemen.

He said: "We will send military facilities including power, radar and defense systems to protect these facilities."

At the same time, the French president said that this action does not mean intervening in the conflict, but "only to protect this place".

Yanbu is host to Saudi Arabia's largest oil storage and refining facilities, as well as the country's strategic "East-West" pipeline.

This pipeline, which is more than 1,200 kilometers long and has a capacity of up to seven million barrels per day, was shut down as a precaution on September 20 following drone attacks carried out from Iraq.
