In July, Donald Trump said that it would be "great" to grant licenses to manufacture these missiles to Ukraine, but later retracted and said that the United States should be "very careful" before issuing such a license.

Advanced Patriot air defense missiles are considered one of the most effective weapons against ballistic missiles, and Ukraine is facing a severe shortage of these missiles in the war with Russia.
