According to the public relations report of the Iranian Athletics Federation, the organizing committee of the competition canceled Ombizada's long jump result due to the illegality of his shoes and removed this athlete from the competition table.

🔸 This decision was made when Mrs. Ombizade was on the verge of winning a gold medal.

In response to this decision, the Iranian Athletics Federation announced in its official intercept that Ombizada's shoes were shown in the equipment inspection process before the start of the competition and approved by competition officials.

🔸 The Iranian team also stated that the cancellation of the result was done after the end of the competition and following an interception by another team, and emphasized that any mistake in determining whether the shoes are allowed is the responsibility of the testing process of the competition and not the athlete. 🔸 The Iranian Federation requires the appeals jury to review the pre-competition test records and determine whether or not the shoe model used by Ombizada was approved before the competition.
