Massoud Pazhkian says Tehran is ready to dilute enriched uranium to 60% and expose its nuclear program to verification, and still wants to advance the agreement with America based on the Islamabad Memorandum.

The Iranian president also announced Tehran's desire to return the memorandum before the midterm elections in the United States.

Mr. Pazhkian, in an interview with the American channel Fox News, which was broadcast on the evening of Thursday, October 2, American time, in response to Bret Bayer's question about uranium enriched to the level of 60% and the possibility of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons, said "absolutely not" and added, based on Ali Khavam, "illegality" is fat, "illegal".

He also said about Iran's enriched uranium reserves: "We are ready to dilute them." It's not a big issue. We are ready to expose ourselves to verification." Iran's nuclear program and especially the uranium reserves enriched up to 60% were one of the main points of contention between Tehran and Washington. The Islamic Republic insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but the US and its allies have repeatedly expressed concern about the high level of enrichment and the possibility of using it to produce nuclear weapons.
