Civil Aviation Organization: Iran flights to Baghdad and Oman have been cancelled

The spokesman of the Civil Aviation Organization announced the cancellation of flights from Iran to Amman and Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, from the early hours of Wednesday, the first of Mehr.

Majed Akhavan told the Iranian media on Tuesday night: Baghdad and Muscat airports will not accept Iranian flights starting at 24:00 tonight local time.

He added: "We are in the process of coordinating and consulting so that the flights destined for Baghdad will be diverted to the Najaf airport."

At the same time, this official of the civil aviation organization said that additional foreign flights, including to the city of Istanbul in Turkey, will be carried out according to the usual schedule and routine, and there is no problem to carry out these flights at the moment. Hours before these statements, the airline of the Republic of Salami, Iranair, announced that it had not yet received a notice or order to stop or suspend the company's flights from the authorities of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iraq, and accordingly it would continue its flights to these countries.
