This shooting took place on Tuesday morning, September 31, and the published photos show that the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The motive for this ground attack is still unknown.

Gülrak said on the social network X that two of the injured were in critical condition and the attacker was arrested.

Two fatal shooting incidents in April sparked outrage in Turkey, prompting authorities to introduce new security measures for the 2026-2027 school year, including stricter gun control.

Vice President Joudat Ailmaz said that Mustafa Sipci, Minister of Interior, and Youssef Taqin, Minister of Education, are traveling to Manisa for inspection.
