🔸CNN, which is one of the five American media outlets present in the White House's Joint News Group for live broadcast of television events, was supposed to cover the US President's visit to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly on Monday and Tuesday, September 30 and 31.

Intercepting this ban, five television networks, ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC and even Fox News, which is close to the Trump administration, responded to this issue with joint statements.

This statement reads: "Access to accurate and independent information about the functioning of the government is of fundamental importance to public opinion. "No government should restrict a news organization because of opposition to its news coverage." However, the US government says the purpose of this ban is only to combat fake news and the White House "has not launched a ground attack on the free press."
