The British government has announced that the time of this program is "limited" and according to it, the British Royal Air Force is supposed to assist the fighter jets of the Saudi Air Force in shooting down Houthi missiles and drones.

To provide this support, the UK will send a Voyager refueling aircraft to the region in the coming days.

In an interview with reporters, Mr. Barnam linked the "cost of living pressure" and "serving British interests" to this decision and said: "Saudi Arabia has experienced attacks and there is a possibility of further disruptions, and we must keep these routes open, so we agree to this request."
