The European intelligence services warn: Moscow is planning an operation against NATO

Following Poland's warning about the possibility of combined Russian attacks on this country during the coming winter, European intelligence officials also raised the possibility that Russia will take action to test NATO's strength and response in the near future in an interview with the "Guardian" newspaper.

Those warnings came after Donald Tusk, Poland's prime minister, told the country's parliament on September 26 that intelligence assessments showed Russia could launch a drone or missile ground attack on the territory of a NATO member in the coming months.

French President Emmanuel Macron also called Tusk's warnings "documented and credible."

These concerns are raised at the same time as the increase in airstrikes by Russia and Ukraine against each other in recent weeks. These warnings come to the media after US President Donald Trump told reporters on Thursday, September 5 that he had "good talks" with Vladimir Putin and was confident that the Russian president would not launch a ground attack on NATO territory.
