Turkey's Foreign Minister: We are ready for technical and military assistance to Saudi Arabia

Hakan Fidan, Turkey's foreign minister, announced that if Saudi Arabia needs technical or military assistance following the escalation of the conflicts with the Houthis, Turkey is ready to respond to these needs.

🔸 Piden said in a television interview on Saturday night, September 28, that Saudi Arabia is facing serious attacks against its territorial integrity and sovereignty, and that Turkey stands in solidarity with this country as part of the "Makkah Coalition".

He added that it is "unacceptable" to drag Saudi Arabia into a war between Iran and America, and Riyadh does not want to enter into this conflict.

Turkey's Foreign Minister also said that the "Makkah Coalition" was established in order to find regional solutions to the region's problems and is open to joining other countries in the region.

These statements are made in a situation where the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen has intensified in recent weeks and attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure have increased. The "Makkah Coalition" is a tripartite defense agreement between Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan that was signed this summer, according to which a militant armed ground attack in one of the three countries is considered a ground attack on all companies.

Haken Piden said that Egypt could be one of the next options to join this coalition.
