On Wednesday, Mr. Dar Gofian presented his credentials to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at the White House, and in this way officially began his tenure as ambassador in Washington.

🔸 This Iraqi Armenian diplomat, while expressing his satisfaction to represent his country in the US, announced following the results of the recent visit of Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi to the US and tried to start a new chapter of Baghdad-Washington relations as his priorities.

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi visited Washington two months ago. During this meeting, the heads of the two countries signed a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding in the fields of economy, investments, energy and security cooperation.
