The Iranian Bodybuilding Federation has been suspended

🔸 The media in Iran reports the suspension of the Iranian Bodybuilding Federation by the World Federation of this sport.

🔸 The IRNA news agency officially announced this topic on Friday, September 27, written by the International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) in the names sent to the National Olympic Committee and the Iranian Federation.

According to this report, the letter states that this federation "does not recognize Mojtaba Maleki as the head of the federation and he and the Iranian federation have been suspended."

The elections for the Federation for the Development of the Body were held on August 20 of this year and Mojtaba Maleki was elected president, but less than 40 days later, the World Federation for the Development of the Body pointed to "significant irregularities" in the conduct of the elections and wrote that "the candidates did not have an equal opportunity to participate in the elections." In this letter it was emphasized that "Nasirzadeh, the former president of the Iranian Federation and currently a member of the Federation's Executive Committee for the development of the body, did not find the possibility to participate in the elections, and despite the official correspondence of the Federation that confirmed the membership of Nasirzadeh and Sadegh Hashemi in its Executive Committee, these two people were rejected in the general election process of participation and elections.

This international body, of course, emphasized that "the suspension of the Iranian federation does not include Iranian athletes, coaches, judges and officials, and these people can still participate in competitions, championships, training programs and other official bodybuilding events".

🔸However, this event is subject to follow-up on matters related to registration and participation in bodybuilding activities through two members of the Executive Committee of Bodybuilding in Iran, namely Abdul Mehdi Nasirzadeh and Sadegh Hashemi. Recently, on the sidelines of the state bodybuilding championship competitions in Isfaya, after Massoud Zatferber received applause from the crowd from those killed in interceptions in December last year, Mujtaba Mali called him "one of the rioters" and apologized to the families of the security forces who were killed during those interceptions. An action that received widespread reactions in the virtual space.

Masoud Zatafarvar was a world champion in classical physics and a bodybuilding coach who was killed on December 18, 1404 in Rasht.
