In a statement he wrote on September 24 from the Haft Wing of Evin Prison, Qadiani, referring to Bahman's March 22 and the government gatherings in recent months, asked if the perpetrators of the shootings at the protesters are "assassins" as the government says, why there is no mention of them at the government gatherings that were held under security.

He asked the media and human rights institutions to question this contradiction in the narrative of the Islamic Republic and wrote: "There was no assassination and there is no assassination and the killers [...] are the same forces [...] of the government."

In this statement, Qadiani also held Ali Khamenei and his son Mujtaba Khamenei responsible for this "heinous crime" and accused government forces of shooting the protesters.
