The President of the European Parliament said in the public session of the Parliament on Monday, September 23, that repression has continued in Iran in recent months and weeks, and death sentences have been issued to a large number of protesters in order to create fear and terror among the people.
In this context, Roberta Matsola pointed to the case of Taran and Romina Rahimi and said that they were subjected to torture, rape and sexual abuse in order for one of them to give a forced confession.
He demanded the immediate release of Taran and Romina Rahimi and others who he said were imprisoned "unjustly" and added that their story is just one of thousands of stories of oppression in Iran.
Tarna and Romina Rahimi are two of the 16 defendants in the "Midan Victims" case in Isfayah and are currently imprisoned in Daulatabad Prison in Isfayah.
The first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Isfaya sentenced Tarna and Romina to 25 years in prison. 🔸Roberta Matsola said that we will not be silent and for this reason we gathered the presence of representatives of the Iranian government in the European Parliament and emphasized the announced assassination of the Revolutionary Guards.
