Mayor Chamran: Buses and metro trains purchased from China cannot enter the country

🔸 Mayor Chamran, head of Tehran City Council, announced on Tuesday, September 24, that the entry of buses and metro trains purchased from China will not be allowed, due to the ongoing US maritime blockade of Iran's ports.

Regarding these metro trains at the port in China, he added that they cannot be moved.

According to the news agency Sedavasima, Chamran explained: "The trains were built and inspected based on a 15% advance payment, but due to the war their movement was halted and remains stopped."

He also said about the bus shipments from China that some went to Pakistan and there are problems transferring them.

Chamran announced: "Pakistan is not an obstacle to work, but they must have facilities for 18-meter-long buses." In May 1403, some Tehran City Council members exposed the "unclear and non-transparent" contract of Tehran municipality to import electric buses from a Chinese company.

However, some of those buses were later added to the capital's public transport fleet.

The statements of Tehran City Council head about the inability to transfer trains and buses to the country come as the second round of the US maritime blockade against Iran, which began on July 23 and continues.

Some government media outlets and official sources of the Republic of Salami said that despite the blockade of maritime cargo transport, road and rail routes of neighboring countries can be used.
