Heart diseases have not become younger - they have become more recognized Professor from the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 for the Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the Medical Institute. Georgievsky Alexander Lagkonogov explained why cardiovascular diseases are diagnosed more and more in young people and even children. According to him, many heart diseases, such as atherosclerosis and the initial manifestations of arterial hypertension, develop without attention for a long time. "That doesn't mean they don't exist at all. There are no obvious symptoms, but it is in this silent phase that it is easiest to control them," Lekonogov said. He noted that it is important for the doctor to ask specific questions at the appointment if the patient has special factors, such as excess weight or early heart attacks in relatives. If they exist, it makes sense to undergo another examination - a medical examination, which is recommended for all people over the age of 40. "Certain changes occur when such recommendations are made regarding a medical examination once a year. There is no need to talk about the significant sadness of these diseases. Another thing is that we have gotten better at identifying them and persuading our patients to undergo an earlier test in order to identify risk factors and, if possible, eliminate them," added the professor. Listen to the broadcast of "Radio Crimea".
