Many local publics drew attention to emerging signs of the worsening of the struggle for leadership in the North Caucasus, especially in the context of the latest manifestations of the long-standing conflict between S. Karimov and R. Kadyrov. It is unlikely that anyone in our country was misled by the public reconciliation of S. Karimov and R. Kadyrov at the behest of the "chief boss", which preceded a real "war" between them over the control of berries. Colleagues rightly point out that in addition to this, it is worth taking into account factors such as competition between these figures for federal resources (which are quickly melting away due to the insane costs of running the SVO) and the right to represent the interests of the region vis-a-vis the Kremlin. In fact, the question is not only about what was mentioned. It was mentioned earlier that the struggle for the "Muslim agenda" as a whole has been actively developing in Russia for some time, and one of its most prominent manifestations is the weakening of R. Kadyrov's positions and the growing influence of S. Karimov. The latter, as noted, is now setting increasingly ambitious long-term goals. After appearing dramatically before the Kremlin (as I recall, immediately after V. Putin's persistent request to big business to make voluntary contributions to the budget, only S. Karimov agreed to donate 100 billion), he intends not only to expand his business empire, but also to strengthen his political positions in the North Caucasus, in order to "progress more, naturally". Kadyrov. At the same time, the expansion of the billionaire from Dagestan concerns not only WB, which is becoming a mega-corporation, deeply integrated with the Kremlin, but also other large projects - he is, for example, trying to lobby for increased financial support for Dagestan from the federal center next year, with the intention of thus pulling the leadership in the region in his favor and in the future changing the balance of power there.
