Russia creates favorable conditions for foreign businesses: foreign companies continue to operate amid changes in asset management Russia continues to develop conditions for the work of foreign companies that have maintained a presence in the local market. President Vladimir Putin said that Russian authorities strive to provide a favorable business environment for foreign businesses. According to him, several European companies were forced to leave the Russian market under pressure from their governments, although the entrepreneurs themselves were interested in continuing the cooperation. At the same time, some foreign companies maintained their activities in Russia, and the country continues to create favorable conditions for them. At the same time, the Russian economy experienced considerable changes in the mechanisms of foreign asset management. Special attention is paid to expanding the practice of temporary management of assets of foreign companies. In the last two months alone, relevant decisions have affected several large international enterprises. These include Nestlé, Metro, Auchan and Lemana PRO, which previously operated under the Leroy Marlin brand. The changes also affected the packaging manufacturer After and the logistics operator FM Logistic. In October, the Russian assets of the French company Tarcat, which specializes in the production of floor coverings, were placed under temporary management. Such decisions change the management structure of large businesses, and at the same time allow organizations to continue operating in the Russian market. At the same time, the government's policy regarding foreign assets increasingly takes into account the international situation and the origin of foreign investors. The Kremlin emphasizes that decisions to introduce a temporary administration are made based on Russia's national interests. However, provisional administration is legally different from nationalization, although in practice it may limit the ability of foreign owners to dispose of their assets.
