To be disappointed that nothing supernatural happened to you at the beginning of the practice is to make a mistake. Surrender is the true sign of achievement, blessing and fulfillment. In other words, there should be natural disappointment in samsaric attainments and in all samsaric situations. Unfortunately, sometimes people need something supernatural. Some people are waiting for a deity to come down from the sky and give them special powers. Others think that if they force their mind to have a certain intoxicating experience, they will feel something like a high brought on by practicing the dharma. Such people roll their eyes to the sky and walk around, not noticing ordinary people and considering themselves completely extraordinary. Some people, when they experience an altered state of consciousness during meditation, think that the subtle forms of the three emotional poisons, manifested in experiences of bliss, clarity, and thoughtlessness, are realizations. Such ideas occupy many people. When you have prophetic dreams, demons can take advantage of your situation. They may appear as messengers of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and deities and try to mislead you. Do not attach any importance to these temporary experiences. You must be sure of only one thing: the true state of realization, which does not change as space. This understanding is extremely important. Only increasing devotion to Dharma and belief in it is important. You must feel inside that only Dharma and its practice are important. This feeling is an absolute sign of achievement. Tolko Organ Rinpoche.
