At any moment in life we can be aware of our breath. This is our most wonderful anchor.

Wherever we are, whatever the time, and no matter what is happening in the outside world, we can be curious and touch the deep mystery of the breath, its ups and downs.

Just for a moment, be present with the breath, observe how it rises and falls in the body, how it rises and falls at its own pace. Notice the sensations in the belly and chest without trying to control or change them, or trying to breathe in a special way. If the breath is shallow, let it be shallow. If it is deep, let it be deep. If your breath feels stressed and restricted, just be with it too...

Let your breath be natural. Let the body breathe on its own! Let go of control. Trust life. Relax around the breath. And stay curious...

Pay attention! For a moment you missed the story of your life! For a moment you lost your mind, this mental construct called "the world", and entered a living body. You left the known world of habits and conditioning, and dove into the unknown, into the great mystery, into something new, something creative.

And if you lose yourself again in the madness of the world, you can always ask the breath for help.

You can turn to the big, eternal question: "How are you, breath?"

You can touch your breathing self from the inside with the greatest tenderness and awe.

And returning home.
