You, like other human beings, have a dimension of consciousness that is infinitely deeper than thinking. It is the very essence of who you are. We can call it presence, awareness, unconditioned consciousness. In ancient teachings, this is the Messiah within or your Buddha nature.

If you find this dimensionality, you will free yourself and the world from the suffering you bring upon yourself and others when the "little me" created by the mind is all you know, but it rules your life. Love, joy, creative development, along with infinite inner peace, cannot enter your life other than through this unconditioned dimension of consciousness. If you are able to understand, even by accident, that the thoughts that come to your mind are just thoughts, if you are able to trace, to witness the emergence of your own reactive mental-emotional models, then this dimensionality is already rising in you. It awakens in you as an awareness within which thoughts and feelings live - as an eternal inner space where your life unfolds and is filled with content.
