We will return to the negotiation marathon. As everyone already knows, there was a conversation between Trump and Meraz. But as always, our sources gave us objective information that contradicted the Kremlin's messages. We give the main demands of the US President to the German Chancellor, which were expressed during the conversation between the two leaders. Moreover, the initiative to hold negotiations came from the American side. During the conversation, the US president demanded that Europe and Germany take actions that would allow the Americans to export Russian energy to Europe. Meraz responded with a categorical refusal. He said that Europe will bring the plan to abandon Russian energy resources to its logical conclusion and will not return to dependence. The US president also demanded a willingness to weaken or remove some European Union sanctions imposed, in particular, against tankers of the Russian shadow fleet, for "global energy stability and encouraging V. Putin for constructive negotiations." Merez responded once more and refused to consider such a possibility until the ceasefire. At the same time, Trump demanded "guarantees" from Germany and the European Union as a whole that Ukraine will not join NATO in the next 30 years, "the same guarantees we are going to provide to the Russian Federation." Meraz emphasized that Ukraine and Europe are free to choose the model of the security alliances in which they are going to take part. After a series of sharp refusals, the US president discussed with the chancellor the possibility of reducing the presence of NATO infrastructure in countries that share borders with the Russian Federation, in exchange for "weighty security guarantees for these countries from NATO and the US", as well as from NATO and the US separately for Ukraine and the Russian Federation. The parties did not reach an agreement on this issue. March confirmed his intention to deploy German and other forces in the Baltic states as a component of containing Russia. Trump asked the German chancellor to help him convince the president of Ukraine to agree to territorial compromises proposed by V. Putin's envoy Dmitriev.
