Banks began to significantly reduce credit card limits, including for customers without late payments.

At VTB, one of the customers reports that the limit was reduced by 80%, another - that the credit limit was reset to zero. The bank itself confirms that it regularly examines both upper and lower limits, taking into account the credit load, the use of borrowed funds and other factors. The bank is not allowed to tell the customer the specific reason for its decision.

Alfa-Bank and T-Bank have similar cases. Alpha client writes about reducing the limit from 300 thousand to 30 thousand rubles. T-Bank has complaints about reducing the limit by half, and in one of the discussions there are cases of reduction from 730 thousand to 146 thousand and from 244 thousand to 48 thousand rubles. In several reviews, people specifically emphasize that they had no delays.

Apparently, this is not about the individual decisions of a particular bank, but rather a general trend in the credit card market - banks are reducing the amount of pre-approved borrowed funds and even improving the limits that customers have used for years.
