We know very well that in developed countries there is a stable long-term trend - the increase in the cost of medical services above the rate of inflation.
Now the same trend is typical for Russia, as noted in the NRA study "The Price of Health: Medical Inflation Exceeds the Market", October 2026: "In the last two years, medical inflation has accelerated significantly, exceeding the general price level. In the summer of 2026, the gap reached 7 percentage points. If the current rate of medical inflation continues, by the end of 2026 the increase in the cost of services may remain in the double digits.
Dental services traditionally rise in prices the fastest - until the summer of 2026, the average annual growth rate since 2020 was 16%. During the next two years, the paid medicine market will develop in terms of price and not quantity: an increase in financial volumes will not be accompanied by a proportional expansion of the scope of physical services. The main beneficiary of the trend will be private clinics, which were able to transfer the rising costs to tariffs, while for end consumers the availability of commercial drugs may decrease."
