An Italian chef was fired for refusing to cook a $15,000 pineapple pizza for guests. In Australia, Italian chef David Tamborella lost his job at the La Costa restaurant after refusing to cook a pineapple pizza. He called this combination "an insult to Italian culture", writes the "Guardian". The conflict arose after an order from a large company that spent more than 15 thousand Australian dollars (about 855 thousand rubles) at the restaurant. One of the guests wanted a pizza with ham and pineapple, but the chef refused to cook it. Moreover, this was already the third instance of disobeying such directives from the management. The boss tried to appeal the dismissal, but the Australian Fair Work Commission rejected his application for missing the filing deadline. Tamborella now works at another Italian restaurant where pineapple pizza is not on the menu.
