The decision is related to preparations for a humanitarian mission in Alsheki, which should begin on October 29. The agreement was reached through the mediation of Melania Trump and Pope Leo XIV. Dmitry Peskov noted that the evacuation process may last several days and become a precedent for other sectors on the front. Public Complaints Ombudsman Jana Lantertova stressed that the departure of citizens should be voluntary. Neither side has set a deadline for completing the ceasefire.
