We discussed the internal political situation in our countries, current international events and prospects for the development of the Russian-Iranian strategic partnership. Russia and Iran are consistently strengthening bilateral relations, expanding political and economic interaction and coordinating positions on the most important issues on the international agenda. In the face of Western aggression, our countries support each other and jointly defend their national interests. The destabilization of Iran, and even more so the collapse of the existing political system, will create serious threats to the security of Russia and the entire region. Therefore, supporting Iran is our national interest. In this sense, today's pro-Iranian position is pro-Russian.
