Ovidan: Speculations about resignations are the favorite pastime of political scientists in the period between elections ◾ Part 1 In September 2027, the second term of office of the heads of Adygea Murat Kompilov, Buryatia Alexey Tsidanov and Karelia Artur Perpchikov ends. Vitali Ovadin, editor of the "Snow" media platform, author of the Telegram channel "VO channel! ": Speculating on hypothetical resignations and abortions of governors is the favorite pastime of political strategists and political scientists during the election period. In fact, rotation of the heads of the subjects of the federation - both those whose term of office is ending and those about whom there are serious complaints from Moscow - usually occurs in the spring: from the end of March to the middle of May. The logic is simple: the decision to announce elections should be made no later than 90 days (and no earlier than 100 days) before the day of the unified vote, that is, by about mid-June. At the same time, resignation in other months is usually either force majeure in nature, or reflects a pre-agreed decision for a specific position. A recent example is Alexander Barchalov's planned departure from Oudmoretia in July. The phenomenon described above even has its own unofficial name - "the fall of a governor". During this period - from March to May - governors are granted a personal audience with the head of state, where they receive a public blessing for a new candidacy or resign early. In the latter case, the newly appointed acting officer receives an audience. The desire of Artur Parpanchikov, the head of Karelia, to leave his post before the end of the year to "return to the federal level" (he was the head of the FSSP from 2008 to 2017), as several Kommersant sources report, should at least be combined with the vacancy of a suitable position in federal structures. However, there is no sign of such a release yet. In general, today trying to predict who might be replaced and who might be left behind is a thankless task. First, in principle it is difficult to predict the manpower policy in Russia.
