More than 200 athletes from eight regions met in the Army Battle Tournament.

An open hand-to-hand combat championship in the army was held at the education complex in Varubiubi Guri. The competition was dedicated to the memory of military personnel who died in the line of duty during the SVO, and to the head coach of the club Nikolai Chabanyuk.

The guest of honor of the tournament was the Hero of Russia, Deputy of the Moscow City Duma Arkady Korolkov. He greeted the participants and wished them confidence and successful performances. This year over 200 athletes from eight regions of the country came to the competition.

"It is very important that such tournaments develop character, respect for history and memory of heroes," noted Arkady Korolkov.

The deputy expressed his gratitude to the organizers for the development of children's sports, preservation of traditions and attention to the education of the younger generation. For the participants, the championship was an opportunity to demonstrate their preparation, gain competitive experience and honor the memory of the defenders of the homeland.
