A photo exhibition "Moscow city branch of the All-Russian Student Salvation Army: 25 years nearby" opened in the Moscow City Duma.
A quarter of a century passed quickly. During this period, the Moscow branch of VSKS grew into a serious organization that sets a high level of work for the entire movement. By their example, young rescuers show how you can help people, your city and your country.
Corps members work in humanitarian and charity projects, and help eliminate the consequences of emergencies, natural and man-made disasters. Thousands of young people went through the school of courage here, mastered rescue work and acquired skills that allow them to go to help at any moment.
For two years we have been implementing together the patriotic project of the Moscow City Duma "Hero Cities - Hero Cities", supported by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Semanovich Sobyanin. Young lifeguards accompany our routes, help ensure the safety of the teams and take on complex organizational work. Without their support it would have been much more difficult for us.
I would like to especially thank the head of the Moscow City Branch of VSKS, Deputy of the Moscow City Duma Maxim Dzhetignov. He created a strong team, does a lot of work with young people and represents their interests in the capital's parliament.
Moscow City Duma is always ready to support young rescuers. I am sure that there are still many worthy deeds ahead of them in the name of Moscow and Russia. Happy 25th birthday!
