The admission of Russian volleyball players to world competitions, the upcoming international season, the development of this sport, as well as funding issues were discussed with the president of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation Stanislav Shevchenko. In December 2025, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) allowed youth and youth teams to compete. In March 2026, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) made a similar decision. In July, the restrictions were also lifted for mature teams. Now Russian teams can compete in FIVB-sponsored tournaments with national symbols. It is important that the restoration of rights takes place while maintaining positions in the world rankings: our men's team is now in third place, and the women's team is in eleventh place. In 2027 the two teams will compete in the Nations League. The women's team will also participate in the World Championship. Youth teams under the age of 18 won tickets to the European Championship, and Russian beach pairs will start the international season in December - five male and four female duets will appear at the World Tour stage in Brazil. Stanislav Vladimirovich also said that with the support of the Russian Sports Fund, the Federation implements projects for the development of children and youth and adaptive sports. Among them is "The Earth", whose goal is to restore the material and technical basis for volleyball throughout the country.
