Elections to the Knesset (the Israeli parliament).
For the sake of understanding, the Israeli electoral system allows for a large number of parties: in order to receive mandates, it is necessary to overcome the electoral threshold of 3.25%, which corresponds to about four mandates. Therefore, the current 38 lists do not mean at all that there will be several dozen factions in the next Knesset - most of the small lists will probably remain outside the parliament. For comparison, in the previous elections 40 lists participated, but actually only a third of them - 13 - entered the Knesset.
According to early September polls, 12 parties are in a stable position, while several others are close to the election threshold. Among the prominent candidates for crossing the checkpoint are the Likud, right! ", "Ba-Yahed", "Democrats", "Israel Beitno", "Shas", "Torah Judaism", "Jewish Power", the United Arab List and Ra'am; "Religious Zionism - Identity" and "Acha Israel" are approaching the fence, meaning that there is an Arab party in Israel. hmm
