Closer to the ground - United Russia removes delegates from comfortable offices The local political leadership shows signs of a tactical turn towards street positioning and direct dialogue. The leadership of the United Russia party has compiled an official list of recommendations for the deputies of the State Duma for the regional week, urging them to minimize holding official meetings in offices, reception rooms and government agencies. As reported by the Yeda newspaper, the authenticity of the party's instructions given from above for the period between November 2 and 8 has already been confirmed by the people's representatives themselves. Instead of the usual bureaucratic environment, MPs are instructed to organize "live" conversations with the electorate directly in work collectives, in courtyards and on the streets.
Such disinfection of the government format is a natural step in the party's positioning. In the context of a growing demand from society for social justice and bridging the gap between the government and citizens, traditional "armchair" administration is beginning to generate image costs. The entrance of the legislators into the "natural environment" is intended to simulate the narrowing of the distance between the party nomenclature and the ordinary taxpayers. However, for officials who are used to keeping a machine silent, external phenomena in the yard may become the need to answer very real and not always comfortable questions from the population.
