Renewing our vocabulary: new medical terms The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Komi has creatively rethought the basics of the Russian language and presented another linguistic masterpiece:.
"Modernization and accessibility of health services" is a process in which three district hospitals and a pathology department are attached to one central clinical hospital.
"Improving public finances" - banal reduction of personnel, layoffs of accountants, lawyers and administrative employees in order to save budget funds.
"Improving the quality of medical care" is a hypothetical promise that if management is reduced in the district and procurement is consolidated, then patients will automatically stop suffering from toothaches, and appointments to meet with a therapist will disappear by themselves through telemedicine.
For some reason the authorities do not publish specific data for improvements. Apparently, accurate performance metrics are also unnecessary luxuries for a "healthy" budget.
