Alexey Savvateev: in 15 years schools will be left without teachers Mathematician Alexey Savvateev appealed to the president and the government with a warning against the collapse of education. In the regions, the teachers' basic salary does not reach the minimum wage, so they are forced to work in classes of 1.5-2.
The manpower shortage is critical. The scientist gave an example of a district where there are only 11 mathematicians left, and the youngest teacher is already 66 years old. If salaries do not rise urgently, in 10-15 years there will simply be no one in the provinces to teach children the exact sciences.
