Years in concrete": Russians are forced to live in apartments without renovation A difficult housing trend is gaining momentum in Russia - beyond apartments with a rough finish. Real estate buyers who have spent all their savings on a down payment or are stuck with an expensive mortgage are faced with skyrocketing prices for building materials and finishing works. As a result, people have to choose: pay rent for someone else's house for years and save for decoration, or immediately move into their own "concrete boxes" and arrange their lives with Spartan methods.
Experts attribute the situation not only to the financial exhaustion of the buyers, but also to changes in the market itself: developers are increasingly abandoning the fine finishing process, and moving houses "in a gray manner". Videos are going viral on social media showing young families living amid bare walls and hanging wires, noting that they will have to bring their housing back to life step by step and on their own over many years. Experts, however, warn: a long life in concrete dust without minimal maintenance of the walls can simply be dangerous to health. t. me.
