Fuel prices in the European Union "soared to the sky", and this difficult situation in the energy market is guaranteed to continue in 2027, European Commissioner Dan Jørgensen openly admitted. According to him, the coming winter will be a serious test for European citizens and the entire industry in the region. At the auction, the futures contract for the TTF hub, which serves as a central European standard, jumped by 4.38% and reached 100.45 euros per megawatt-hour, equal to about 1,171 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters of gas. The crisis is exacerbated by extremely low inventory levels: the European Union's gas storage facilities are only 74.93% full, down from 82.91% in the same period last year. The most alarming situation is in Germany, the locomotive of European industry and the largest consumer of energy resources, where German gas reserves are now depleted to a dangerous level of 61.65%.
