The Mashchensky court in Moscow arrested in absentia for two months the head of the Khimki football club, Hasan Dzhioev, in the case of bribing an arbitrator. As RBC reports, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, the football manager was officially charged with illegally influencing the outcome of an official sports competition (Part 4 of Article 184 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigators, Dziouev bribed the referee in order to ensure the victory of his team in the match against Valdikavkaz Alanya in November 2023 (the match then ended with a score of 2:2). The investigation of the case is carried out by the Investigations Division of the Ministry of the Interior, and the official himself was put on the international wanted list - the period of his arrest will start to be counted from the moment of his actual arrest or his extradition to Russia.
