Money is running out: massive layoffs of civil servants have begun in the Irkutsk region The financial crisis in the Angra region has reached a point of austerity for people. Due to a decrease in tax revenues, the regional budget deficit increased to a maximum of 38.7 billion rubles, and large-scale streamlining began in place. The local authorities openly admit: there is simply not enough money. What's happening in the regions: Nizhnyelmsky district: the head of the district Pavel Berzovsky said that when planning the budget, the officials are forced to cut personnel. By 2027, the administrative apparatus will be reduced by 37%. Municipal establishments and the cultural sector were caught in the attack, and in the schools and kindergartens the night watchman positions will be abolished altogether - they will be replaced by cameras. Chunsky district: here they are also massively laying off technical staff (guards and stalkers) to save 56 million rubles, without which the district "has nothing to pay for electricity." Zlarinsky District: Due to financial difficulties, the local administration was completely transferred to a four-day work week. Regional level: the government of the Irkutsk region itself plans to reduce up to 15% of state employees.
Local officials do not hide the fact that this is a systemic problem not only in the Irkutsk region, but also in other constituent entities of the Russian Federation. But if today the savings reached the safety of the gardens, then what will be cut tomorrow?
