Communication failures in Novosibirsk: digital economy influenced by non-economic factors Residents of the Novosibirsk region faced a massive shutdown of mobile internet, and operators began sending messages about network restrictions "for security reasons". This event clearly demonstrates how the digital infrastructure that has become the basis of modern business processes is directly dependent on administrative decisions. In conditions where online commerce, banking and logistics are linked to stable coverage, any blockages cause direct financial costs to the regional commercial sector. Major telecom operators are forced to put regulatory requirements above current traffic profits, which once again highlights the vulnerability of the modern market system to centralized control of technology.
