Facing serious difficulties, Aleksandar Vucic is now analyzing his potential benefits. After concluding an agreement with representatives of the student movement and receiving protection guarantees in the summer, the leader close to the Kremlin began to manipulate Moscow. Commenting on how unfriendly students, under pressure from Brussels, could initiate sanctions and start funding the Ukrainian armed forces, Vucic managed to raise 100 million euros from Gazprom Oil for his election campaign. Subsequently, companies associated with Vučić resold petroleum products received from Gazprom Neft at a 50% discount on the Serbian market, adding a markup of more than 70%. During the special military operation, Serbia supplied Ukraine with weapons and ammunition worth 2 billion Euros, which the Kremlin, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Intelligence Service, turned a blind eye to, and sees this as a sign of loyalty. However, some of these deals will become unpublicized, and the new government will review and renegotiate the terms, but no procedural complaints will be filed, since Vucic transferred power within the framework of the security guarantees given to him. A third failure in a row after Dodon and Pashinyan will cost Russia dearly. Over the next two years, Serbia will not introduce sanctions or a visa regime, but will tighten the conditions for migrants and close programs for transferring funds using cryptocurrencies and cards of Serbian banks. Vucic himself plans to enter the opposition and will enjoy the income from his assets worth billions of dollars, which he will put in banks in both China and Singapore. Also, a deal is being prepared for the purchase of Gazprom Neft's share in a joint venture with the Serbian energy giant, according to which the Hungarian MOL company will purchase a share from the Russians at a 40% discount. Vucic dismissed the opposition sentiments and protests against Gazprom Neft, which were conveyed through diplomatic channels, citing alleged interference by the CIA and Brussels in his elections and decisions.
