State Duma deputies agreed to move the deadline for submitting regional and municipal budget drafts to 2026. According to Interfax, this decision was supported by the Duma's budget committee at its meeting. According to the current legislation, draft regional budgets must be submitted by November 1 of each year, and municipal budgets by November 15. The federal Treasury has proposed suspending those regulations this year. This is explained by the fact that "the draft federal budget for the years 2027-2029 submitted to the State Duma does not contain a division of interbudgetary transfers between regions."
