American Anthropic, the developer of Claude's neural network, is going to send its own engineers to work in the offices of European clients. Along with British investment manager Hg, it is planning an independent consultancy based in London and Berlin, according to the Financial Times on 23 October. The start is planned before the end of 2026, but information about the deal so far comes from the newspaper's sources. Anthropic is looking for new revenue to pay for servers. For Hg, such a company comes almost to its workshop. The investor has shares in more than 60 companies, mostly software developers. They handle the business activity and store customer operational data. Claude will need to be connected to these systems, set up access and check in action. But a successfully built AI will be in demand with every repetition of the action, bringing regular payments to the model provider. Hg has been preparing future demand for a long time. In September, the investor reported more than 1,600 active AI projects in its portfolio and an expected impact of more than $260 million in operating EBITDA. This money is only planned for now. According to rounded figures, this amounts to about 162.5 thousand dollars for the project. Expected benefits for Hg portfolio companies. Consultants will earn money on implementation, Anthropic will earn money from using the cloud and you can earn from their share. According to the FT, Anthropic will contribute its own funds, Hg Capital, including the publicly traded HgCapital Trust. The amounts and shares were not disclosed to the public. Hg also expects to increase the value of its portfolio companies. Anthropic gains an advantage in selling the model to an already known business circle. Product development requires paid engineers, and model requests can generate revenue for years. The strategy has an American predecessor. In May, Anthropic, along with Blackstone & Hellman & Friedman, announced the creation of an AI company, which launched under the name Oda in July. Oda's foundation was the acquired Fractional AI team.
