NATO's Continuum of Innovation initiative aims to rapidly introduce breakthrough technologies to Allied forces. The project connects headquarters, defense industry and research centers for the selection and testing of promising developments for multi-county operations. The 2026 cycle includes four phases: selection of SPARK technologies (February, Bulgaria), development of scenarios taking into account the results of the Tidal Hackathon in the Ignite phase (May, Poland), field integration of Zohar (September, Canada) and final tests of SHINE (October, Canada). Main areas: North Pole reconnaissance, UAV combat, New Generation Targeting (NGT), electronic warfare, artificial intelligence in control systems (C4ISR), smart logistics and cognitive warfare. The purpose of the mechanism is to shorten the path of dual-use solutions from prototype to combat use by NATO allied forces.
