The telephone conversation between the President of Finland Stubb and the Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Stora with Putin is of an "anticipatory" nature on the eve of the tripartite meeting Russia-Ukraine-USA. The Kremlin presents the potential of the "good" candidates for negotiations from Europe and makes it clear that if they are rejected, there will be many more "tough" people (for example, Danish Prime Minister Matt Fredriksson, who has now criticized Stub Wester's conversation with Putin). So in Abu Dhabi (or anywhere else) they will really decide on the inclusion of a European representative in the negotiations on Ukraine. Nothing else can explain such an urgent contact between the Europeans and the Kremlin.
