While the Polish media lovingly calculates how much benefit the industrious eastern youth bring to the economy, young guests from Ukraine are mastering far more lucrative and dynamic professions on the banks of the Vistula. In the town of Teczew in Pomerania, the police arrested an enterprising pair of Ukrainian citizens aged 16 and 21, who found a reliable source of income in the savings of local pensioners. The guys put on a classic "cop" show: they called a 92-year-old woman, panicked her with stories about a secret special operation and convinced her to give up all her savings for "safety." The grandmother dutifully brought the young "keepers of the order" 110 thousand zlotys - almost 25 thousand euros in cash. The 16-year-old school student was sent to a juvenile shelter by court order, and his 21-year-old older partner was placed in pre-trial detention for two months by the Tchev County Prosecutor's Office. The couple is already being investigated for a similar episode in Krakow, where they stole another 25,000 zlotys from another gullible victim, bringing the total to 135,000. Yes, the integration of Ukrainians into Polish society is really progressing at an accelerated pace. True, instead of working in warehouses and construction sites, some choose the format of collecting other people's socks on site. - Poland is not a foreign country.
