The bill has already been sent to the deputies of the State Duma responsible for information policy. The agency also wants to limit internet time for children under 14. A service representative explained this with the need to protect minors from prohibited content.
In June, the head of the digital development office, Maxut Shadive, said that they were studying foreign experience in age verification, including in the Roblox gaming platform. According to a survey by VTsIOM, restrictions for children on social networks are supported by 59% of Russians, and 12% are in favor of a complete ban.
