Sweden refused to boycott hockey tournaments involving Russia The Swedish Hockey Association will not boycott international competitions after the return of Russian national teams. This is what the chairman of the organization Anders Larsson said in an interview with Aftonbladt. At the same time, he emphasized that the federation continues to oppose the reception of Russians. "We will not boycott," said Larson. According to him, the Swedish side intends to openly express its position, vote accordingly and ask for support, but must respect the decisions of the legal authorities. The reason for the discussion was the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which, as the evening newspaper reports, allows Russia to return to international hockey tournaments. According to the newspaper, it applies to the men's and women's world championships, the world junior championships and the 2027 junior championships.
